Capitolo XXVIII: at the PNC Park

Dopo essere stato due volte a vedere una partita di baseball al PNC Park posso tirare le prime conclusioni: lo spettacolo è spettacolo ed i Pirates sono davvero scarsi.
Allora la premessa, per chi non lo sapesse:per me andare a vedere una partita di baseball negli USA (come sarebbe stato a Cuba) è paragonabile come esperienza ad un giocatore di calcio statunitense che va a vedere ad un derby Milan- Inter a San Siro, Milano (Italia).
Pe r gli statunitensi è cultura, tradizione, spettacolo e show.
Entri allo stadio quando vuoi, anche mezzora dopo la partita, anche all'ultimo inning se vuoi fare lo sborrone ed esci quando vuoi. Da ogni postazione il campo lo vedi molto bene (non è come essere al terzo anello di San Siro e la palla la immigini) e c'è poi un mega schermo, davvero mega, per tutti i possibili replay. Il megaschermo serve anche per proiettare videoclip dei giocatori che devono andare in battuta, per riprendere gente qualunque tra le gradinate (stile Quelli che il calcio)...e qunidi tutti fanno i cretini per farsi riprendere, per intrattenere tra un inning e l'altro con domande sul baseball alla trivial, per mettere tutte le statistiche sui giocatori. E poi c'è sempre musica, di diverso tipo per ogni giocatore, ci sono i fuochi d'artificio e per Pittsburgh anche la bellezza di avere una visuale spettacolare sul fiume, sui suoi ponti e su Downtown con i suoi grattacieli. Passando ai Pirates, Bucks per gli amici, sono talmente scarsi che ieri sera stavano per offrire una nohit ad uno che tirava una dritta su 5 e tanta tanta merda; in difesa seconda base che perde la palla durante un doppio gioco, esterni che si tuffano a tre metri dalla palla, esterni che sbagliano il rimbalzo, lanciatori che prendono un back to back su due palle si seguito...come dire la piccola bottega degli errori. Per fortuna ci sono le altre squadre !!!


P.S. Ovviamente tanti auguri a Vally sorellona che oggi compie qualche anno in meno di trenta


I've been two times at the PNC Park for a baseball game and now I can start to write some first impressions: the show is real show and the Pirates are really bad.
In order to help who read understands , I have to explain that for me to attend at a baseball game in USA (may be the same in Cuba) is only comparable to an american soccer player who attend at a Milan - Inter at San Siro, Milan (Italy).

For american people, baseball is show, culture, tradition, USA itself ...the ball.
You are able to enter to the park whenever you want, to exit whenever you want, also to arrive for the last inning if you want to be really cool. It's possible to see the field from every site (the uppest stand in San Siro is different, you can only imagine the ball); They use a really huge screen for a lot of reply, to film common fans ( Quelli che il calcio style, as you know) ...and so everyone tries always to be filmed. They use the screen either to ask baseball questions (trivial way) , in order to write all the stats for each player and score for other games. There is always music, different for each player, always fireworks and in Pittsburgh also a beaufitul skyview with the river, bridges, skyscrapers. Let's enjoy some pictures in my flickr.
Speaking about Pirates, Bucks for "relatives".....they are so bad, bad, nuts, more the bad... that yesterday evening they were planning to donate a nohit to a pitcher who was throwing one fastball each 5 pitches and a lot of shits; a second base who fall a ball during a double play, a left fielder that try to catch a ball diving some meters far and then miss a ground ball, a pitcher who got a back to back with two pitches......how I can say....little shop of orrors. But I'm lucky...two teams need for a game !!!

P.S. Of course Happy birthday to Vally, great sister....today she is something less than 30 y/o.
